Using Pause
Pause is operated by Pause Botanica Inc. for adults aged 18 and over. These terms cover the app and related services. The licence for the iOS app is Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
Wellness tracking, not medical care
Pause helps you record information, explore patterns and prepare a summary for a clinician. It does not diagnose conditions, provide treatment or determine whether symptoms are normal. Patterns in your logs are observations and may be affected by missing entries and other factors. Do not start, stop or change medication based on the app. Seek appropriate medical care for symptoms that concern you. For emergencies, contact local emergency services.
Subscriptions and free trials
Access to subscription features requires a verified Apple subscription, including an eligible free trial. Available plans, trial duration, full renewal price and billing period are shown before you subscribe. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility. If you start a free trial, it automatically becomes a paid subscription at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. After that, subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel through Apple Account subscription settings. Restore purchases with the Apple Account used to subscribe. Refund requests are handled by Apple, subject to applicable consumer rights. Deleting the app or your data does not cancel your subscription.
AI features
AI is optional and requires consent. Replies can be wrong, incomplete or outdated. Review health information with a qualified clinician. Usage limits and availability apply; the service may refuse unsafe requests. Use Report on a reply to prepare a report, review it, and choose whether to send it to support. Never rely on chat for emergency help. Educational resources linked from chat do not certify that a generated reply is correct.
Your records
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for keeping your device secure. You retain rights to your entries and allow us to process them to provide the features you use, as explained in the privacy policy. Export a copy before deleting your data if you want to keep it. Export and deletion tools remain available on the subscription gate.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access another person’s data, bypass subscription or security controls, abuse AI services, or use the app unlawfully. We may restrict access to protect users and the service. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Availability and changes
Features may change and occasional interruptions can occur. We do not guarantee a particular health outcome. Material changes to these terms will be published with an updated date; additional consent will be requested where required.
